Actors Theatre realizes that corporations and foundations face difficult funding decisions when faced with scarce resources. To help companies stretch their community philanthropy, Actors Theatre created the Double Play program. Here’s how it works:
When your company becomes a Season Sponsor or Production Sponsor, you receive the entire house for one Actors Theatre performance in Stage West (300 seats). Your company, in turn, may give that performance to a worthy not-for-profit community organization of your choice to use as a fundraiser or friend-raiser. In baseball, a double play results in two outs in one play. At Actors Theatre, the Double Play program allows your company to support two organizations with a single gift.
Double Play may include a reception at the Herberger Theater Center either before or after the performance (catering costs are separate), the use of the entire lobby, playbill stuffers recognizing your sponsorship, special speeches from the stage before the performance and opportunities for post-show discussions with the cast and creative team for the production.
Shows eligible for the Double Play program include any Actors Theatre play in the 2012-2013 Season. Available performances include Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday evenings and Saturday matinees. Groups may choose to use all 300 seats or limit seating to 150 attendees by closing the mezzanine and balcony.
