In 1980, Andy Warhol opened an exhibit of 10 silk-screen portraits of famous Jews from the 20th century. They were not, shall we say, well received. Thirty-one years later, comic storyteller Josh Kornbluth is commissioned to write a play about the once controversial exhibit. An irreverent mix of autobiography, music, philosophy and improvisation; ANDY WARHOL: GOOD FOR THE JEWS? is one man's wide-ranging meditation on art and religion and how the discovery of his own "Jewishness" began with an Andy Warhol exhibition.
“A funny and thought provoking personal journey.”
